See What's Inside

Welcome to BSharpTricks.com!

We believe that your search is over for getting the piano lessons that you need and want. BSharpTricks combines solid musical foundations, cutting edge technology, and innovative teaching techniques to get you playing great-sounding piano. It's the FAST and Fun method!

There are essentially
three ways to learn to play

  • 1. Classical Notational
  • 2. Jazz Improvisational
  • 3. and by Ear

Jazz improvisational means that you learn chords, how to apply them to songs, and then learn to improvise off of the chords of the song.

Lead instructor, Jeremiah Sibley, has over a decade of teaching experience and has developed his own approach combining solid music theory with practical applications to get you playing as soon as possible. Many of his former students now are the primary keyboard player for their church, their band, or even a music director for an entire church music department. The lessons are set up so that as you learn jazz improvisational, you are also given pointers to help you eventually also play by ear. There's nothing like just being able to sit down at the piano and play whatever song as you would like!

The core of the system is The Series, which is Jeremiah Sibley's own, proven method of jazz improvisational piano instruction 87 videos lead the student from the baby steps of learning your notes and first musical principles, through the basic three-note chords and how to apply them, through learning and distinguishing between various types of 7th chords, and eventually to knowing 9th, 11th and 13th chords.

Each principle is clearly and slowly explained, shortcuts about how to more easily apply what you have learned is given, and then practical playing opportunities are presented using real songs and lead sheets. Students who already know some musical theory or piano can jump into The Series at their current level and continue forward. When the student has completed The Series, they have a good command of chord theory and are ready to move forward into more advanced studies.

The second part of BSharpTricks is the Advanced Studies which enable the student to move forward into more advanced territory as his or her own pace.

The beauty of the system of
BSharpTricks is that all lessons are
video based and visually presented.

All videos are shot with at least three camera views: one straight on as the instructor talks to you, one overhead shot carefully positioned so that you can easily tell which keys are being pressed, and a telestrator view where the instructor interacts with the lead sheet and material during the lesson. All videos were shot in HD quality with professional background and editing. This is not somebody setting up their personal camcorder and throwing up some pseudo music theories on Youtube. This is competent and proven piano instruction professionally shot and edited and carefully arranged so that you will be set up for success!

All lessons can be watched and
watched again

– and paused and rewound – as much as you'd like or need. Most lessons have a pdf file that contains the lesson material and lead sheets that can be printed and placed on your piano. All lessons are ranked according to difficulty level and focus. You can take numerous lessons a week or take one a month – the pace is up to you – and your Premiere Membership gets you complete access to everything on the site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all from the comfort of your own home computer! The lessons can be made to be full screen so that it's just like having your own personal piano instructor in your home at your beck and call whenever you are ready to learn!

The Forum

If you prefer, you may reach the lead instructor by email, also.

BSharpTricks will continue to be a dynamic source for your musical education for years to come!

Jeremiah is seriously the best. I learned more in my first lesson with him than I did from months of lessons with other instructors. The really cool thing is that he teaches with the intent that you will then teach others, so you come away with comprehensive, meticulously detailed lessons that you can always refer back to. (Plus he's really funny.)

When I began piano lessons with Jeremiah, I had very limited musical knowledge. He was able to break down scales and the basic number system in a way that was fun and easy to understand. He took songs I knew, and we basically expanded and took the music to another level weekly. I am now a music director at Promiseland Church in Austin, and I can honestly say that what I learned from Jeremiah gave me a solid foundation and the necessary tools to continue growing musically. Jeremiah taught me so many applicable methods that I continue to apply and teach to others daily.

"I can't even say how much I learned in just 1 year with Bro. Jeremiah Sibley. His teaching method was easy to understand and he was so generous in sharing his knowledge! His 'cheat notes' or 'short-cuts' are the best for people that need to start playing in church as quickly as possible, and actually sound like you have some skills. I tried to take lessons from other people, but I have to say I learned more in 1 year than I could have ever dreamed of. What I liked the most about his teachings is that he went outside the traditional styles of playing gospel music. I was so excited to learn how to incorporate Blues and Jazz tricks into most contemporary gospel songs we sing today. Thank... Read More

Jeremiah Sibley is a talented musician and a very qualified music instructor. I began lessons with him around the age of 13 but due to the driving distance, I was only able to attend for approximately one year. Although disappointed, this was more than enough time with Jeremiah to learn the basics. He taught me to play by ear, but gave much theory and logic. He was flexible in his teaching methods and had an abundance of patience. Jeremiah made piano lessons fun! Mostly, he gave me the confidence and encouragement I needed to begin a lifetime of piano ministry. I started playing the piano for an established church at the age of 16 and have been playing there for 7 years. My on... Read More

I was 10 years old when I began lessons with Jeremiah Sibley, and continued for over 2 years. With minimal piano knowledge from extracurricular lessons in elementary school, Jeremiah Sibley began by tailoring the piano lessons to the little that I knew, and expanded from there. He was personable, easy-going, and down-to-earth. He simplified complicated chords, concepts, and progressions to my level of comprehension so that I could easily understand, practice, and later teach them to someone else. Let me be clear, Jeremiah Sibley knows music. He went to bible school for music, has a degree in music, reads sheet music, and can play pretty much any instrument. What makes him unique as a ...
